We are just having a blast putting these horror specials together, even if we don’t have nearly enough time to put in all the work we want to on these discussions of various decades of horror films. That being said, this week’s special has Aaron, Brandon, and Jimmy O talking for a long time about the 80s. Lots of early discussion about where horror was at this time, especially given the rise of slasher films, before going into a year by year breakdown of many of the most notable films from each year in the 80s. Clearly there is a lot of love for this decade from Brandon and Jimmy, who relish in a chance to go into some underpraised and underseen gems (and it is unfortunate that Jason was not able to participate). Time for round 2. So it begins! Thanks to some prodding by Joblo.com’s Jimmy O, we were inspired to do something special with the podcast for the month of October. The idea is to release a new bonus episode every Friday this month, in an effort to cover the various decades of horror. For this first week, Aaron is joined by Naptown Nerd’s Brandon Peters and Starpulse’s Jason Colman to discuss horror films up to the 1940s. This of course revolves around the silent film era, the early days of Universal’s Monster Movies, famed horror legends from that time, the many sequels and remakes that came during that time, and more. Here’s a fun bonus episode, handled in the same vain as our previous Street Fighter commentary, dealing with the original Mortal Kombat. Arguably the best video game movie ever, Abe and Aaron combine forces with Corey and Jeff from the NSFW Gamer Podcast to deliver a joint commentary episode, which is featured both on Out Now and at NSFW Gamer. It is a rowdier commentary track than normal, given that Aaron, Corey, and Jeff were all in the same room together, but that doesn’t stop the track from going into a lot of good discussion regarding the topic of video game movies, Mortal Kombat trivia, and of course plenty of random fun as well. Out Now 136 - That Awkward Moment and Labor Day

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a double episode, with a new guest to boot! Aaron and Abe are joined by Philip Price to go over the dude-focused rom-com That Awkward Moment and the regular rom-drama Labor Day. This week the guys look at 2013's foreign films with guest Mark Hobin, have a brief chat about I, Frankenstein with guest Jordan Grout, and recap the Sundance Film Festival with Adam Gentry, which has been a yearly tradition. Out Now Bonus - 2013 Accolades

Here’s another bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe and it’s another big one in terms of wrapping up the group’s thoughts on the films of 2013. It is an award show, which has Aaron and Abe going over what they have as picks for the “Best Of’s” in a lot of different categories, such as “Best Actor”, “Best Director”, etc., along with other (more fun) categories like “Best Comedic Scene”, “Favorite CG Character,” and so on. Additionally, Aaron and Abe asked all of their guests to fill out their own answers for these categories, so they can be compiled together, determining the most popular entries, resulting in some fun overall results. And that’s still not all! Mr. Scooter has returned once again, with his own picks, and serves as the special guest on this episode! Out Now Bonus - Interview with Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford: Directors of Ghost Team One

And now for something completely different. Abe and Aaron are normally happy reviewing movies or providing commentaries, but here is a new kind of bonus episode: a legitimate film interview with filmmakers. Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford are the directing duo behind the new film Ghost Team One, which will be released on October 11th theatrically and On Demand (find out how to see it HERE), and they were kind of enough to join Aaron and Abe for an exclusive interview about the making of the film from its inception up to its release. It helps that Ben and Scott were game to have fun with Aaron and Abe, while also providing some actual insight into the filmmaking process. Basically, everyone tried to have a good time, while providing some neat facts about a new movie.

Summer Movie Season has ended! It’s time for another Bonus Round with Aaron and Abe. This special episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe has been one to anticipate all summer long. Aaron, Abe, and guests Mark Hobin, Maxwell Haddad, and Jordan Grout have all come to find out who won. This is the 2nd Annual Top Summer Movies Gamble Results show, where everyone will learn what the top ten biggest films of the summer were (in regards to domestic box office) and who was closest in their predictions. Each participant created their own list (and added a few dark horses as well) and this podcast goes over the scoring process and what went down. Additionally, the guys discuss their favorites, least favorites, disappointments, and surprises from this past summer as well.

Out Now Bonus - Comic Con 2013 Recap

The special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is all about San Diego Comic Con 2013. Aaron was in attendance for all five days along with frequent guest and friend of the show Alan Aguilera. The two of them are both present for this episode, talking at length about what happened mainly in regards to the big movie panels that occurred within the always incredibly packed Hall H. Both Aaron and Alan share their experiences within the hall and talk about the footage seen and what went on with the panel participants. The two also talk about some of their favorite experiences and sights seen at this year’s Comic Con. It is a lengthier discussion than anticipated, but certainly packed with info.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the gang gets back to spooky basics, as they discuss The Conjuring with guests Aaron Fink and Markus Robinson, a re-teaming for the ages! The guys all dig into this movie and whether or not it made them worry about things that went bump in the night. It is all about big monsters fighting big robots and it’s the kind of thing that the guys are all pretty excited about already, so perhaps they had a good time. Summer Movie Season has returned! It’s time for another Bonus Round with Aaron and Abe. This special episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the second time the gauntlet has been thrown down. Commentary, another Out Now Commentary. For the final (for now) in our series of James Bond movie commentaries, Aaron is joined by Scott Mendelson and Brandon Peters to discuss Quantum of Solace. A well timed commentary, as Skyfall is just days away from release, this track goes over the pros and cons of the second Daniel Craig entry, which was met with mixed reactions at the time. Here we go with another bonus commentary. This time, inspired both by the upcoming release of Dredd 3D and the enthusiasm of guest Jordan Grout, Aaron, Abe, along with Jordan and commentary favorite Jim Dietz, decided that the 1995 Judge Dredd was a perfectly good choice for a movie that Out Now could discuss at feature length. As always, these commentaries are recorded to match up with the film, which the gang is sure to synch up in the opening, before things get underway. Whether or not the listener decides to listen to the commentary with or without the movie playing in the background is a choice that they’ll have to make for themselves.

Out Now 72 - V/H/S and the [REC] Series

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a found footage horror special. Aaron and Abe, along with special guest Gerard Iribe, have decided to talk about the Spanish horror film [REC] and its subsequent sequels, along with the newest horror anthology film, V/H/S. All of these features are shot in the found footage format, which is a good enough throughline. Regardless, it is a quadruple movie review episode, which seems like plenty for listeners. Out Now Bonus - 1st Annual Top Summer Movies Gamble – RESULTS!

This special episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is our epic result show. Aaron, Abe, and guests Alan Aguilera, Mark Hobin, and Adam Gentry were tasked with making a big wager back in May. The 1st Annual Top Summer Movies Gamble, where everyone had made a list of what films they thought would be the top ten biggest box office successes of the summer, has now come to a close. Each participant had created their own list (and added a few dark horses as well) and the podcast once again lays out the rules and how scoring will work, followed by the results as to who came out on top overall. In addition, everyone also goes over all of their biggest hits and misses as far as the summer films were concerned. Out Now Bonus - Audio Commentary for All Step Up Movies In One

It’s another commentary, but a historical one! The most important thing to note about this episode is that four of us watched all three Step Up movies simultaneously and recorded a commentary that can go along side any of them. So basically anyone can choose whichever Step Up movie and use this commentary to help supplement it. This is a first in podcasting and commentary history, I believe, so feel free to embrace it. Aaron is joined by Alan Aguilera (watching Step Up), Jordan Grout (watching Step Up 2 The Streets), and Ken Noffsinger (watching Step Up 3D with Aaron) to talk about each film, at the same time. Frankly, this was an amazing idea, very difficult to record, but completely worth it to give anyone the opportunity to watch any of the Step Up movies and have a jokey commentary for it.

So that’s what occurred. The special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is all about San Diego Comic Con. Aaron was in attendance for all five days along with frequent guest and friend of the show Alan Aguilera. The two of them are both present for this episode, talking at length about what happened mainly in regards to the big movie panels that occurred within the always incredibly packed Hall H. Both Aaron and Alan share their experiences within the hall and talk about the footage seen and what went on with the panel participants. The two also talk about some of their favorite experiences and sights seen at this year’s Comic Con. It is a lengthier discussion than anticipated, but certainly packed with info.

Out Now 65 - Beasts of the Southern Wild

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe could have easily been a disaster, much like the region that the characters in the main film of the week live in. Instead, despite a tired co-host and not as much prep as is usually done to make the show feel seamless (although Abe is a damn good editor), Aaron, Abe, and guest Mark Hobin were all able to successfully review Beasts of the Southern Wild, as well as speak of several of the more recent art house and independent films that have come out. Out Now with Aaron and Abe knocks out two in one week. Here’s another commentary for Spider-Man 2. Aaron and Jim Dietz return and ditch Scott “Motor Mouth” Mendelson for Jordan “Arachnid Boy” Grout. The trio goes into it, as they try to stay focused talking about the web-head’s fantastic sequel, while also bringing up plenty of other superhero films as well. Not for nothing, but opinions about Mary Jane run amok as well. Anyone that does end up checking this out, feel free to right in as well. It’s fun doing these commentaries and if anyone has a suggestion, we are more than welcome to hear it.

Out Now with Aaron and Abe always loves delivering bonus episodes and now they are dealing out an audio commentary for Spider-Man, which is packed with distinctive voices talking about the 2002, Sam Raimi-directed film. Aaron is joined by Scott Mendelson and Jim Dietz to delve into the theatrical film debut of everyone’s favorite web head. Whoever wins, we lose…again. So they did it, this bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another commentary for another bad movie. In honor of the release of Prometheus, this time Abe, Aaron, and special guests Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz all got together and watched Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem, while delivering as much fun possible in the form of audio entertainment. Again, one may not even need to watch the film in order to enjoy listening to a podcast episode like this, but if one has the desire to do so, feel free, as the group discusses all that they can about this never-to-be cult classic and other things as well, since it sometimes becomes hard to stay on topic when dealing with AVP: R. Is this strangely fitting for a Mother’s Day episode? Maybe. Out Now Bonus - 1st Annual Top Summer Movies Gamble

Time for another Bonus Round with Aaron and Abe. This special episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the first where the gauntlet has been thrown down and Aaron, Abe, and guests Alan Aguilera, Mark Hobin, and Adam Gentry are tasked with making a big wager. This is the 1st Annual Top Summer Movies Gamble, where everyone has made a list of what they think will be the top ten biggest films of the summer (in regards to box office). So each participant has created their own list (and added a few dark horses as well) and the podcast lays out the rules and how scoring will work when they reconvene for a follow up show in September at some point. And then the guys go over there list and bicker as to why they think they are in the right. Hilarious hijinks, of course, ensue.

Time for another Bonus Commentary Episode! With The Avengers coming out in the very near future, Aaron and Abe decided to record another special bonus episode that relates to this very ambitious comic book film event. The Incredible Hulk was the film the group all decided to do a commentary for, which leads to Aaron, Abe, and guests Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz discussing the various positives and negatives about all the Avengers ‘prequels’ in general, as well as the Ang Lee version of Hulk. Of course, there is always plenty of random banter going on throughout are the wacky Out Now commentaries as well, so if you’re a trooper, have fun settling in and listening to this, with or without the movie playing at the same time.

Out Now Ep. 53 - Cabin in the Woods and Lockout

The best thing about this lengthy episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the high amount of energy that Abe, Aaron, and special guest Scott Mendelson have in delving into all the various films that they mention and in particular the two films subject to review for this week. The trio get into Lockout (Space Jail), move onto spoiler-free talk about Cabin in the Woods, and spend a whole extra chunk of time at the end of the episode diving into spoiler-heavy talk about Cabin in the Woods (alerts are given). He made the mistake of bringing a pie to a gun fight. There is also talk about American Reunion, which was initially going to be some sparse thoughts, but turned into a full review. A somewhat shorter show, but it is still packed with movie talking goodness.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another packed affair. The main review of the week is Wrath of the Titans and Aaron and Abe are joined by Laremy Legal to better discuss the epic-ish Greek action sequel. We also have the other segments. This special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is missing an Abe, but does have an Aaron, and he is joined by Adam Gentry and Mark Hobin to discuss a couple of the recent Art House, Foreign, and Independent films that have been in theaters. A few different films are discussed, but special emphasis is placed on The Kid with a Bike, Bully, and A Separation. This is much more a free form show, as the trio simply discusses several films and forgoes having all of the regular show segments. That said, there is certainly plenty of content to check out.

Out Now with Aaron and Abe: Bonus Episode – Audio Commentary for Clash of the Titans

Time for another Bonus Commentary Episode! For whatever reason, Aaron and Abe have decided to spend more time adding their thoughts over films that they felt like watching together, along with a couple guests – Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz. Say what you will about how much one learns during these commentaries, but at least they manage to have a good time watching the film, despite the many tangents they go on. This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe takes us to the fourth rock from the sun, as Aaron, Abe, and guests Scott Mendelson and Jordan Grout all take part in a fairly lengthy discussion of John Carter. Lots to talk about and the review certainly is hefty. Also lengthy are discussions of the trailers for Men in Black 3 and Finding Nemo 3D. This special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is all about the Oscar results. Well that’s not entirely true, special guest Jordan Grout joins Aaron and Abe to discuss his thoughts on Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds (someone had to), but after that, the group then dives into what took place on Oscar night. Not a lot of frill to this episode, just enough to let everyone know how good or bad these guys were at predicting this year’s winners. And who doesn’t like getting bonus episodes?

Out Now Ep. 46 - Wanderlust and Oscar Predictions

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe has a review and an elongated segment devoted to what is now old news. Aaron, Abe, and special guests Mark Hobin and Mark Johnson spend time reviewing the Paul Rudd/Jennifer Aniston comedy Wanderlust. Later on, the group goes over their Oscar predictions for the Academy Awards (this was recorded the morning of). There will be a bonus episode that goes over the results, which should be released shortly after this episode. And the other segments are around as well, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (The Dictator and Casa De Mi Padre), and box office results. Were we to have planned better, we would have already released a predictions segment, but we’re not, so here it is anyway.

Out Now Ep. 45 - Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe finds the duo (along with guests Jordan Grout and Alan Aguilera) dealing with vengeance, as the rider has come to claim his souls. Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance is the main film review for this week and there’s nothing like a big dose of Cage Rage to get things going. Of course all of the regular segments are here as well, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Lockout), box office results, retro reviews, and there is even time for some games. This episode is hotter than a flaming skull.

Out Now Ep. 44 - Safe House

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe puts the gang on the run, after their secure location is raided by evil forces from the outside. Aaron, Abe, and guest Gerard Iribe are talking about the Denzel Washington/Ryan Reynolds action/thriller Safe House and also manage to save some time for a mini-review about the new, limited-release horror film from director Ti West, The Innkeepers. The group also manages to fit in the regular segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (The Amazing Spider-man and The Bourne Legacy), (epic) Box Office results, retro reviews, and some games. Hopefully the second house remained safe enough for these guys to record the whole thing.

Out Now with Aaron and Abe: Bonus Episode – Audio Commentary for Ghost Rider

Yep, they did it. In what may be one of the worst episodes (or best) of Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the gang actually sat down and watched Ghost Rider to record a commentary for a bonus episode. Aaron and Abe are joined by guests Ken Noffsinger and Jordan Grout for what was more like an endurance round, as the gang sat back and “enjoyed” what was the Nic Cage-starring ‘soon-to-be-superhero classic’ Ghost Rider. Making things even better, Jordan was watching the extended cut, while the rest of us watched the theatrical, so plenty of fun in that respect. One probably doesn’t even need to actually watch Ghost Rider, while listening to this, but if you can find a copy (unfortunately it is not streaming on Netflix), or even if you don’t, you may be able to get some joy out of listening to this track.

Out Now Ep. 43 - Chronicle

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe finds four young men happening upon a bright light in the dead of night and experiencing something great. This is of course referring to the brightness of their computer monitors, as Aaron, Abe, and guests Jordan from Jersey and Alan Aguilera all share their thoughts on the super-powered “found footage” film Chronicle. Along with that, the gang discusses some movie trailers (Project X and Silent House), has some fun with “Know Everybody”, and follows through with the other regular segments as well, such as box office results, and the retro reviews. It’s a show recorded late at night, but everyone is more than game to play along, using telekinesis or otherwise…

Out Now Ep. 42 - The Grey

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe sees the boys stranded out in the cold and intense wilderness, as they are discussing the new Liam Neeson survival drama, The Grey. Joining the duo, also in from the cold and intense wilderness of Park City, Utah, is Adam Gentry, who unfortunately did not catch up with The Grey, but did get to attend both the Slamdance and the Sundance Film Festival. So Aaron and Abe cover The Grey, Adam talks about some of the films he got to see, and the trio have some fun with the other segments of the show as well, including “know everybody”, trailer talk (Act of Valor and Wrath of the Titans), some retro reviews, box office results, and other fun stuff. Liam Neeson would be proud.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a bit of a quickie, despite going through all the fun segments and featuring two guests. Aaron and Abe are joined by (a very much alive) Jordan Grout and HHWLOD’s own Mr. Jim Dietz, as the group discusses the latest from Steven Soderbergh, Haywire. As mentioned, the gang goes forth with all the regular segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, trailer talk (Expendables 2 and GI JOE: Retaliation), box office results, retro reviews, and the return of games. The episode is a bit shorter than most, but it still is pretty packed.

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the first official “regular” episode of 2012. Aaron and Abe are joined by Mark Hobin and Mark Johnson to discuss the Steven Spielberg period-family-drama, War Horse, as well as provide some thoughts on the 2012 Golden Globes (the episode was recorded the morning before the ceremony). Out Now Final 2011 Bonus Episode – The Best Films of 2011

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the final bonus episode related to the year of 2011. It is the much anticipated best films of 2011 where Aaron and Abe count down their top films of the year. Joining the duo in counting down their favorite films are Mark Hobin, Adam Gentry, and, eventually, Alan Aguilera. Regardless of the fact that some members of this group had a fundamentally different approach to what “Top 10” list means, everyone gets a chance to speak their peace about what they feel were the best films of 2011. There is plenty of discussion about these films, as well as some other films that deserved honorable mention, as well as some that fell into certain other categories. It’s a packed show yet again.

Out Now with Aaron and Abe: Bonus Holiday Episode – The TV of 2011

Once again, Out Now with Aaron and Abe is delivering another bonus episode. With everyone so busy, yet apparently filled with ideas for episodes, the thought of doing an episode based around the TV shows of 2011 came up. With Abe sitting this one out, Aaron joins up with guest writer/reporter Jonathan Van Dyke to go over a large batch of notable television series, which were on during the year. The episode is divided into topics including new shows, shows that got better, shows that got worse, cancelled shows memorial, and best/favorite shows. It is an incredibly packed episode, which doesn’t even cover all of what Aaron and Jon wanted to talk about. Still, they guys give it their best shot and talk about a lot of quality TV programs.

Out Now Bonus Holiday Episode – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

So here is another special holiday bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe. This episode covers The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, with the first twenty minutes or so of the actual review going over the gang’s overall thoughts on the film; before they go heavy into spoilers (a warning is provided). While this episode actually doesn’t feature Abe (aww), Aaron does his best and is joined by Adam Gentry, Alan Aguilera, and for a brief time, a very, very special guest to discuss the “feel bad movie of Christmas”. The gang also discusses the new teaser for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and has some fun with the “Know Everybody” segment. But really, Dragon Tattoo becomes a fairly meaty discussion, given are unusual choice to delve into spoilers.

Happy Holidays Everyone! Due to an obviously chaotic holiday season, this is the first of hopefully a couple hastily recorded bonus holiday episodes. The subject of this episode is the new Steven Spielberg-directed, Peter Jackson-produced motion-capture animated feature, The Adventures of Tintin. Aaron and Abe are joined by Jordan Grout (while driving in his car) to discuss the film, as well as play a little “Know Everybody”, talk about the brand new teaser for The Hobbit, have a little retro review fun, with a surprising amount of Indy 4-related talk, and play some games. Out Now Ep. 39: Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Sherlock Holmes – A Game of Shadows

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another packed episode. Amidst the holiday season, many many films are coming out, but Aaron and Abe are doing what they can to cover a good chunk of them. First up, the newest Mission: Impossible film and a sequel to Sherlock Holmes. Joining the duo to discuss these features are past guests Scott Mendelson and Jordan Grout. The group takes the time needed to get into reviewing these tentpole releases along with delving into The Dark Knight Rises prologue, which was exclusively attached to select IMAX screens showing Mission: Impossible. Other regular segments of the show are included as well; “know everybody”, “retro review”, and an extended look at the box office, given the skills Scott Mendelson possesses as a pundit. It is certainly a content-filled show, with plenty of fun to be had.

Out Now Bonus Episode – Audio Commentary for George A Romero’s Night of the Living Dead

This week’s bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is an audio commentary. It is also a special combo episode, as Out Now is pitching in for its sister podcast show, The Walking Dead TV Podcast. Aaron and Abe have tried a commentary once before, so far, with John Carpenter’s The Thing, but now the duo joins up once again with Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout to discuss George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, the zombie film that started it all, which is of course quite fitting for WDTV. Joining them as well is one of the co-hosts of WDTV, Jordan from Jersey. Night of the Living Dead is an incredibly easy movie to find (especially for free via the internet), so please try and enjoy yourselves, as the gang does what they can to entertain and speak about the movie.

Out Now Ep. 38 - The Artist

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is short on Abe but has Aaron and a couple other A’s (plus one M) to make it another Triple A episode! That’s right; Aaron, Alan Aguilera, Adam Gentry, and Mark Hobin all join in on the show this week to discuss the new silent film from director Michel Hazanavicius, The Artist. Lots of discussion about the film and tangents are within the main review section, but all the regular segments make their way into the episode as well. Out Now: Episode 37 – The Descendants and Award Contenders Talk

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is very focused on the awards season. Aaron and Abe are joined by the creative mind behind AwardContenders.com, Mark Johnson, to both provide a review for the new George Clooney/Alexander Payne film, The Descendants, as well as engage in a discussion about the various films that have the potential to be up for major film awards. While Abe had to leave part of the way through this discussion, Mark and Aaron continued on to go over all of the major categories and the potential big players, predictions, and desires. In addition to this special awards talk and the movie review, the regular segments are still present as well, including “know everybody”, trailer talk, box office results, and retro reviews.

Out Now Ep. 36 - The Muppets and Hugo

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe focuses on the nostalgic double feature that was The Muppets and Hugo, both of which came out over Thanksgiving weekend. Joining Aaron and Abe to discuss these features are guests Mark Hobin and Matt Dunbar. Given the depressing nature of the art house and independent films featured in last week’s fun, but obscure episode, talking about the fun and sincerity of The Muppets and Hugo is certainly a fun way to get things back in the fun zone. People should note the use of plenty of familiar Muppet tunes laced throughout this episode as well. Out Now with Aaron and Abe: Special Episode - Art House/Indie Showcase 2011 Spectacular

This week’s special episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is jam packed with film discussion and guests! Given that neither Aaron nor Abe had much desire to go in depth in discussing Twilight or Happy Feet 2, a decision was made to discuss many of the recent Art House/Independent films that have come to theaters this fall. To help the duo in this discussion, Mark Hobin, Adam Gentry, Mark Johnson, and Gerard Iribe all join in to provide their perspectives. The films discussed include Melancholia, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Take Shelter, Margin Call, Like Crazy, The Devil’s Double, and The Skin I Live In, with mention to several other films as well. And even with all that, there was still time to include a few of the regular segments including “Know Everybody” and Trailer Talk.

You down with OTT? This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe goes Over The Top, as the duo discusses the Greek Myth action film Immortals from visionary director Tarsem Singh. Out Now 21 - Rise of the Planet of the Apes

“I love you Dr. Zaius”. Alright, this week’s episode features Aaron, Abe, and special guest Alan Aguilera (back again, two weeks in a row) for another Triple A episode, as the group discusses Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The latest entry in the Planet of the Apes franchise, which serves as a restart to the series continuity and stars James Franco as the lead human character and Andy Serkis as the lead non-human (motion-capture work for Caesar). Along with the main review of the film, as usual, several segments surround this area, as the gang gets to know each other with some random film questions and discusses some new trailers (In Time and Contagion). Additionally, following the review, as per usual, there is box office talk and predictions, a retro review segment, and the return of some old games.

Out Now 17 - Transformers: Dark of the Moon

This week on Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the boys delve into the Giant ‘Effin Robots movie that the world has been waiting for. Of course this is in reference to Michael “Boom Boom” Bay’s newest film, Transformers:Dark of the Moon. This is the third film in the Transformers franchise and do to the epic scale of this feature, Aaron and Abe get help from returning guests, Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout (Damn Dirty Blog). Between these four, almost everything related to this Michael Bay franchise is covered. Naturally, the regular segments of Out Now are still a part of the show; trailers are covered (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and War Horse), box office results and predictions are spoken of, retro reviews lead to more giant robot and explosions discussion, and then some fun games are played as well. Certainly a lot going on in this episode.
